Algorithms and Data Structures This is a textbook for first year Computer Science. Algorithms and Data Structures With Applications to Graphics and Geometry.
Information Systems This textbook will teach students how to exploit IS in a technology-rich environment. It will emphasize why, no matter what their major, information and communications technologies (ICT) are, and increasingly will be, a critical element in their personal success and the success of their organizations. Students will learn the characteristics of good systems (e.g., intuitive, likable, error-resistant, fast, flexible, and the like).
Information Systems for Business and Beyond This book is written as an introductory text, meant for those with little or no experience with computers or information systems. While sometimes the descriptions can get a bit technical, every effort has been made to convey the information essential to understanding a topic while not getting overly focused in detailed terminology.
Lectures on Mathematical Computing with Python This open resource is a collection of class activities for use in undergraduate courses aimed at teaching mathematical computing, and computational thinking in general, using the python programming language. It was developed for a second-year course (MTH 271) revamped for a new undergraduate program in data science at Portland State University. The activities are designed to guide students' use of python modules effectively for scientific computation, data analysis, and visualization.
Open Data Structures (in Java) The goal of this project is to free undergraduate computer science students from having to pay for an introductory data structures book. I have decided to implement this goal by treating this book like an Open Source software project. The LATEX source, Java source, and build scripts for the book are available to download from the author's website and also, more importantly, on a reliable source code management site.
Programming Fundamentals: A Modular Structured Approach The original content for this book was created by Kenneth Leroy Busbee and written specifically for his course based on C++. The goal for this second edition is to make it programming-language neutral, so that it may serve as an introductory programming textbook for students using any of a variety of programming languages, including C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, and Swift.

Applied Computational Intelligence and Soft Computing Applied Computational Intelligence and Soft Computing will focus on the disciplines of computer science, engineering, and mathematics. The scope of the journal includes developing applications related to all aspects of natural and social sciences by employing the technologies of computational intelligence and soft computing. The new applications of using computational intelligence and soft computing are still in development. Although computational intelligence and soft computing are established fields, the new applications of using computational intelligence and soft computing can be regarded as an emerging field, which is the focus of this journal.
