The 2024 primary election was held on March 5, 2024. The general election was held Nov. 5, 2024.

To vote in the 2024 elections in North Carolina you must meet these requirements:

• A U.S. citizen
• A resident of the NC county for at least 30 days before the election
• 18 years old or older on Election Day.
• Not currently in state or federal prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony
• You will be asked to present a Photo ID. Free Photo IDs are available (link above). If you do not have a Photo ID, there are exceptions that will still allow your vote to count. Voter ID Information
