Who Should Use CSE Style?

CSE Style is the writing and citing method of the Council of Science Editors. Some biology or other science instructors may require this style for papers.

There are 3 systems of style in CSE, but the name-year system is the most common and is the system covered in this guide. If you need to use a different CSE system, please refer to Scientific Style and Format Online.
