Surry Community College Library Scrapbook Collection: Home

21 scrapbooks from the Surry Community College Library have been digitized and added to the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center website.

These scrapbooks contain clippings about the college from the Mount Airy News, Elkin Tribune, Winston-Salem Journal, and other local and state newspapers.

The clippings cover events, activities, athletics, arts, funding, awards, students, teachers, classes, and more.

Surry Community College scrapbooks have been compiled by library staff on a daily basis from the founding of the college in 1964 through the present. The online collection dates 1964 - 2007, covering over 40 years of SCC's history.

Clippings from 2008 - present may be viewed in person at the library. They will be digitized at a later date.

Print copies of the scrapbooks and clippings are located in the Archives and are available upon request.
