Appreciate a Dragon Day on January 16 is an annual celebration of fictional dragons. Celebrate by reading a book about dragons from the SCC Library or the Dogwood Digital Library. Stream a movie about dragons on Kanopy, or browse our DVD collection for films about dragons.

If you’ve graduated or are taking a semester off, you can still access many of the SCC library’s online resources through NC Live. Visit to register for a free 10-day pass to NC Live. After 10 days, you’ll be directed to sign up for permanent access using a library card from your nearest public library.

Now available! Access thousands of movies, series and documentaries on your mobile device with Kanopy, a new database available through the SCC Library.
